In which I have written SO MUCH but not on what you might think…

Hellooooo everyone!

This update is coming a little earlier in the quarter than I’d normally share it, but I have a very exciting book review hitting the blog next month, so we’re doing things a little out of order. 🙂

Time for a writing update! *jazz hands*

First and foremost, the most exciting news for those of you who are desperate for another fairytale retelling: Project Wishes (my Cinderella Retelling novella) is officially off with my line editor/proofreader!!! Huzzah!!!

I am expected to have the book back sometime early in September, in which I’ll make any final line editing changes before getting it sent to the formatter! (Aka my partner lol.) In the meantime, I’m finalizing cover things and oooooh it is so shinyyyyyy. ❤ I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

I mentioned in my last newsletter that I’m not 100% sure when I’m going to release it to the public… Part of me is SO READY to share it with the world because I’ve been working on it and hyping it up for so long, and I want everyone to be able to read it. The other part of me wonders if it would be a smarter business decision to wait until I finish re-editing my Tales of Nottingham series and re-release them with the new covers before publishing Project Wishes. If any of you have any thoughts, feel free to share them. 😉

Not only did I get Project Wishes sent off to my proofreader, but I also made decent headway in my rewrites of Tales of Nottingham! (In case you missed the explanation behind why I’m re-editing them, you can read about it HERE!) I’ve made it through 8 of the 23 chapters in Thief (book one), and while it’s taking a little longer than I initially hoped, I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made. 🙂 I don’t have a ton of editing/writing time during this last month in the third quarter, but hopefully when work and life slow down again, I can continue to make great headway!

The other thing I’ve been working on is a project for my Savanna Raine pen-name! I wrote 32k words on it in one month — an INSANE feat for me, given how busy I normally am! I’m dipping my toes into the realm of mafia romance/mafia rom-coms, and I’m so here for it! If you’re interested in giving my mood board and announcement post a look, check it out HERE! I won’t be talking about it much more on the blog once I get my Savanna Raine newsletter up and running, but just know I’m hella excited about it and cannot wait to finish the rough draft! 🙂
