Tales of Nottingham: Book One

The outlaw Robin Hood wreaks havoc on the industrial city of Nottingham, but he doesn’t just steal riches. Bit by bit he takes away the Sheriff’s power and control, and none of the Sheriff’s advisors can stop the thief.

As the daughter of a nobleman and one of the Sheriff’s colleagues, Marion has always known her place – be a great hostess, but let the men do the work. Until a chance encounter with Robin Hood makes the Sheriff realize the outlaw has a weakness for damsels in distress.

After a threat made against her Father’s life, Marion is forced to play a part in the Sheriff’s scheme to go undercover, find Robin Hood, and get rid of him. But the thief and his companions are not what she expects, and she begins to doubt her mission.

In the first story in the Tales of Nottingham, Marion finds herself trapped between duty and love, where one false move could end her Father’s life or destroy the people she cares about most.

  1. Avrie

I love these characters and the journeys they’ve begun. Savanna brings a new twist to the old fairytales and legends, and I can’t wait to see how she continues to weave those stories together in later books. THIEF gave me strong Lunar Chronicles vibes, and I’m 100% here for it.

  2. Rachel S.

Arguably S.R.’s best set of characters. A fantastic retelling of a classic fairytale in which each character is infused with his or her own motivations, values, and personality!

  3. Krissa H.

My new favorite of the SR novels. The world building <3 The characters <3 the Treehouses <3 Ames’ crotched potholders <3
Can’t wait for all the angst of Book 2!

  4. Dianna T.

This book is amazing and Roberts once again shows us that her writing skills are far more advanced than you would expect. This story had everything you would want and I cannot wait for book 2.

  5. Mickey L.

Savanna Robert’s books just get better and better! They pull you in on page one and keep you guessing ’till the end. Thief was truly a spectacular read!

  6. S.J. Siedenburg

Wow—such a fresh retelling of Robin Hood. I love the legend of Robin Hood, which also means I’m picky about how it is portrayed…well, Roberts did not disappoint! The characters are well-developed and relatable, the story settings vibrant, the plot exciting, and the writing style excellent.

If Thief sounds at all interesting to you, I definitely recommend you snatch it up and give it a read!
